Singing sensation Lizzo is constantly in the news of late, this time because she’s letting it be known in no uncertain terms that the incessant chatter about being plus-size is emotionally weighing her down.
Whether we’re talking about a musician, actor, model, athlete, influencer or media personality, most would find it difficult to be in the spotlight, especially with any and everybody having something to say about you on social media.

Things were not always this intense.
While I experienced it firsthand on a much smaller scale upon launching a radio career in the 90s, it wasn’t until I started appearing on television regularly — just as Facebook, Twitter and Instagram were gaining in popularity — that I felt appreciated by the majority, but also under attack by a small minority.
All these years later, I’m not only still here, but now have returned to my talk roots.
In my latest podcast (listen here), I share my insight on Lizzo’s situation, mental health, and living one’s purpose.
Check it out, and then let us know what you think!
