Over the years, I’ve had the opportunity to meet most of the dynamic judges that dominate daytime television. In 2023, I am honored to now call the majority of them my colleagues.

This season, Allen Media Group (AMG) will produce and distribute nine court shows featuring some very familiar faces. Joining me are Mablean Ephriam, Lauren Lake, Glenda Hatchett, Cristina Perez, Karen Mills-Francis, Eboni K Williams, Greg Mathis and Marilyn Milian.

What an exciting time to be sharing space with these savvy, outstanding jurists. Is there competition between us? If there is, it certainly doesn’t feel that way. In fact in my latest podcast on TheGrio, I talk about what it is to be competitive and how competing with one’s self is something we should all be doing more of.

Judge Alex Ferrar and I (above) ran into each other in Florida and took this snap many years ago. Although no longer on the air, Judge Alex had a great run for nine seasons.

The Cutlers (right) may not be part of the AMG family, but they are my college classmates.

Keith Cutler and I ended up graduating from Morehouse the same year while his now wife Dana was across the street attending Spelman College. We’re always running into each at events, including this 2022 HBCU football classic outside New York. In some cities (LA, Atlanta, Chicago), we’ll be airing on the same stations. Make sure you check your local listing for show times.
